Euro2008 Quarterfinal4 goals

Spain ended their June 22 jinx as they beat the world champions Italy 4-2 on penalties. The game looked set for penalties as Italy were never looking to play attacking football and it was down to the best goalkeepers in the world to take their side to the last 4 and it was Iker Casillas who did it for Spain as he saved two kicks and taking Spain to the semifinals.

Andrei Arshavin was the star as the Dutch were taken apart by an organised Russia team. The Dutch were never in control of the match as the Russians continued to outplay them and took the lead. Nistelrooy's goal could only take the match into extra time but the result was never in any doubt as the Russians scored twice in extra time to march into the semifinals.

Euro2008 Quarterfinal2 goals

Recber Rustu turned from villain to hero as his blunder gave Croatia the lead with only minutes remaining in the second extra time but the Turks equalised in the dying seconds to push the game in penalties and it was time for Recber Rustu to turn the hero as he saved the spot kick from Mladen Petric to send the Turks into the Semifinals.

Euro2008 Quarterfinal1 goals

Bastian Schweinsteiger returned to the team after suspension and played a fabulous match to send the pre tournament favourites into the semifinals. He scored the first and setup the other two goals as the German out powered the Portugese. Joachim Loew, who was given an one match touchline ban saw his team play effective football and come up triumph in the knock out stage. This defeat ends Scolari's reigns as Portugal manager as he moves to Stamford Bridge. Now the focus of the field totally will be on Ronaldo as he is set to announce his future.

Euro2008 Match Day 12 goals

Russia claimed the sole remaining spot in the quarterfinals as they dispatched Sweden 2-0 and set up a match up against Red Hot Netherlands for a spot in Semifinals. The defending champions Greece ended their campaign without a point as they lost to a largely weakened Spain team who rested many of their key players.

Euro2008 Match Day 11 goals

Italy survived the group of death and marched into the last 16. France had a forgettable match as they conceded a penalty, got a player sent off , their star man Ribery getting injured also his replacement Nasri getting injured. Meanwhile the Dutch continued their merry way dispatching Romania to help Italy go through.
